The Pixel King's arrived today, can't fault the service from Ukhighland photography, I just hope the Pixel's live up to it! I've had a very quick look and unbox. First impressions - boy they're big (despite seeing them on the net) little disappointed that they've removed the pass-through on the transmitter hot-shoe, though I can understand the reasoning behind it. Won't have time to have a proper look and test of them until the weekend though.
My Velbron CX mini tripod also arrived today, the main reasoning for this is to mount a remote flash on; also, I've got another Velbron tripod (whose model number escapes me) but the pins in the catches have rusted and I can't adjust the legs properly! So there is a lesson learnt, if you use your tripod in water, especially sea water, remember to wash the catches with fresh water and dry them, or spray with a little bit of little bit of WD40 - other water displacement products are available!
